To count in Rireinutire, addition is made by using to 'and' (kaa to kaa nee: 2+2=4), multiplication by using aya 'times' (kaa aya see ñuunee: 2*7=14). To subtract, mara 'away' is used (nee mara kaa penekavo kaa 4-2=2, literally ”out of four two, remain two”). To divide, riniñi, the past passive participle of rinita 'divide' is used (kii riniñi koo koo: 9/3=3). If there is a remainder, that is expressed with are 'leftover' (haa riniñi koo kaa are kaa: 8/3=2 leaves 2). These are the basic operations of arithmetic (muaoti): addition (totomua), subtraction (veyumua), multiplication (ayamua), and division (rinimua). Geometry (yumitame) and trigonometry (kookomotame) are other, more advanced branches of mathematics (mutioti).
I was told there would be no math. Anyway, these are the basic arithmetical operations in Rireinutire.
